Three Phases of Astonishment

Phase 1: Coincidence
The spectator inserts two cards of the same value into a deck of completely different backs. Incredibly, both land beside cards with matching backs-though slightly different in shade. Maybe just a coincidence?

Phase 2: Connection
Turn them over-the backs match, and so do the faces. Same suit. Same value. Twice in a row. This isn’t luck. It’s something deeper.

Phase 3: Destiny
The deck is spread. Every card is now the same-same suit, same value-completely different from the previous pairs.
